Panels
There were two panels organized as part of BarCamp Ghana 08 under the theme – Fuelling Ghana’s Business and Tech Renaissance. The panels were on social media and mobile technology.
The social media panel was great. All the panelists were based in Ghana. They touched on selling the Ghanaian brand, broadcasting experiences and getting the collective Ghanaian stories online. In the wake of all the negative publicity Africa continues to get, social media is the way out. Some people have started it, but this needs to be viral. The panel was moderated by Nii Simmonds of Nubian Cheetah. The panelists were
Nana Kwabena Owusu (Klustrs.com)
Justin Dakorah (Klustrs.com)
Esi Cleland (Maameous.blogspot.com)
Allen Taylor (GrowGhana)
David Oluniyi Ajao (Davidajao.com)
The mobile technology panel enlightened the group to the mobile solutions that are being developed locally and what is already in place. The panel was moderated by Eric Osiakwan of Afrispa and Internet Research. The panelists included
Amos Anyimadu (AfricaTalks)
Ashifi Gogo (Mpedigree)
Derrydean Dadzie (DreamOval)
Eyram Akofa Tawia (Leti Games)
